Report Cards…

Well, I was going to post sooner, but had my Dad here visiting, and didn’t get a chance to post. Rosy seems to be doing well on this med, and is home sick today. Second last day of school, and she is stuck at home (I’m sure she is missing out on some fun stuff, since they aren’t really teaching anything anymore).

I’m quite happy too! Rosy got her report card yesterday, and I have to say she has improved! There are still lots to work on, but I know that it is a process and I’m sure after the summer of getting her meds figured out, she will have an amazing year next year. She had one D, which I was kinda expecting, and only two C pluses, and the rest were As and Bs. I have to admit, I was expecting more Cs, but I’m very proud of her. With an IEP next year, I’m sure it will be better for her. I have to get out tonight and get some thank you cards for the teachers, as they worked so hard, to work with her and with us.

Well, I’m off to cuddle with her now. You can tell she’s sick when she wants to cuddle!

    Oh those report cards for special needs... they don't even bother with anything but "S's" for my little one and I still have trouble facing it. Hope she feels better soon and makes to school on the last day. Hopped over from Kat's Cafe.

    My daughter has Asperger's, which is on the autism spectrum and has some of the same characteristics as ADD. IYour blog is well organized, and I think it's great that you're offering helpful links prominently placed. Best of luck to you and your family on your journey.

    Andy started getting actual 'grades' this year and it was so hard for him to get the lower marks - not me, I expected them. I made it a point to let him know as long as he was working hard--and he always does--that I would always be proud of him. For our kids who make progress, making progress in these areas is more difficult. *hugs* to you and to her -- and sorry she's been feeling puny as well. :-)

    Thank you all ladies! It's nice to know that she's not the only one who only gets S's or N's (needs improvement...duh, kinda figured since we only just got the diagnosis). I hate seeing them too, but at least we now know why she's getting them. That has made it a little easier. Oh and she was able to go to school on the last day! I'm so glad. I know I wouldn't hear the end of it, if she hadn't been able to go.
